What is all the buzz around "Going Alkaline"?

What's the problem with acidity?

The body is an intricate, but delicate mechanism. It can operate in a limited range of pH - between 7.36-7.45, being slightly alkaline. Any diversion from that, up or down, is critical to the body. For example, if the body's pH drops below 7.0 you will get a cardiac arrest and die.

Excess acidity is a condition that weakens all body systems. Excess acidity forces the body to borrow minerals – including calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium – from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely removes it from the body. When we get too acidic, either from acidic food, stress and anxiety and regular action of metabolism, the body tries to buffer it (balance it). This mechanism is called homeostasis.

However, trying to solve that creates our deadly diseases…

Robbing our resources

It is no secret that our diet is very acidic – meat, dairy, oil, fish, wheat are all acidic. In order to have a healthy body, health practitioners recommend that we keep a balanced diet of 80% alkaline and 20% acid. This is hard to keep in our times. And when excess acids must be continually neutralized, our alkaline reserves are depleted, leaving the body in a weakened, disease-prone condition.

Creating acid deposits – Choosing the lesser evil.

Our bodies were designed to break down food and dispose of the acid waste with our kidneys and livers. But now, because of the sheer amount of acid waste the average American produces, our body became a war zone and it is trying to protect the kidneys and liver from collapsing and so stockpiling acid waste in our fatty deposits instead of eliminating them in the precious organs, while creating cholesterol and fat to handle the acidity.

The body had to choose between the kidneys and liver and processing the acid waste, and it chose to preserve the vital organs.

The cost: obesity, lowered immunity, lack of energy and the whole host of acid related diseases we are subject to including cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis and more - much more.

Where do we get the acid?

Acid comes from three sources:

  1. Food – for example, the pH of meat is 3.5 and diet coke and other sodas have a pH of 2.5 – that’s 50,000 time more acidic than neutral water (the pH scale is logarithmic and any unit is 10 stronger than
  2. Pollution
  3. Stress.

Unfortunately we have too much of all three factors and they produce acid waste that the body can’t handle, so it uses its alkaline reserves.

A healthy balanced body has alkaline reserves to battle diseases, infections, and viruses. But if excessive acid must be continuously neutralized or stored, our alkaline reserves will be depleted, leaving our bodies weakened and disease prone.

What Can I Do to Get Rid Of the Acid Wastes?

The best way we have found to do this is to drink Kangen Water™. The 3 qualities of Kangen water

The Kangen water machine converts your tap water into healthy water having the following traits:

  1. Alkaline pH of 8.5-9.5 - this is 50 - 500 times more alkaline than neutral pH (7.0)

In simple words, the free radicals are oxygen molecules that are missing an electron and thus are imbalanced. They attract an electron from another molecule and rendering it imbalanced. This is a chain reaction that is known as oxidation. This is rust in metal and an apple turning brown after being cut and left open. It also reacts within your body resulting in the development of a variety of pathologic states such as diabetes, cancer and aging.

One free radical can initiate tens of thousands of chain reactions that cause tremendous harm (destroy cell membranes, disrupt crucial processes in the body, reprogram DNA, form mutant cells, and more). Free radicals are a major contributing factor to nearly all situations of non-ideal health.
